January 2010

Laura, Hanna, Kristen, Nicole, Kelly and Ciara travelled to NY for an intensive riding weekend at Gleneden Dressage with Lendon Gray to start to prepare for the upcoming show season.

December 2009

Merry Christmas from FHF!

Congrats to Kristen and Nicole who were accepted into the Michael Barisone pony clinic. They rode great and also enjoyed their time at the clinic.

Fall 2009

Congratulations to all the FHF students currently riding on college teams as all have been super successful thus far this fall! Sarah Asadorian was winner of lower training at Johnson and Wales IDA show and UNH is currently first in the region.  Savannah Sheldon has also been very successful at Penn State IHSA, including winning a show as high point rider! Ellie Sharpe has also been very successful at Brown University IHSA, with several wins for her as well- impressive for a freshman!

Congratulations to the URI Equestrian team who is currently in 2nd place in the region!

October 2009

Pam travelled with Laura, Kate, Nicole and Bella to Mystic Valley Dressage.  All did well with a highlight of Laura competing in PSG and I-1! Laura is currently the highest level competing student at FHF and having great success.

September 2009

Pam travelled to NEDA fall with Kelly, Kate, Kristen and Nicole. Kelly had a great scores in the 60s in both first and second level and was the reserve champion in the adult amateur 2nd level championship class. She also competed in the USDF Region 8 championship class at first level and won 5th place with a 66.57%!  Kate also rode well with scores in the 60s in both second and third level and was 4th in the Region 8, 3rd level championship.  Kristen and Nicole also had great scores in first and second level, including Kristen's 2nd place in the equitation medal class in which she earned an 80%! 

August 2009

Congratulations to Ellie Sharpe, the valedictorian of Rocky Hill for the class of 2009!! Best of luck to Ellie who will be attending Brown University this fall and riding for their equestrian team!

8/15-16
Pam travelled to the big dressage show at HITS with Kate and Sam, Kelly and Mali, Mae and Bella.  Kate was the high score Junior rider and Kelly won several classes, securing her Bronze medal- which she achieved in only 3 months! Mae won many classes with Lendon Gray's rider Rachel Chownec including the 2nd level pony cup and the FEI pony cup. Pam and Bella won the training level pony cup with a 66% and a 67%. Success was certainly had by all.

The dynamic duo coaching team of Erin and Amanda took Sarah A, Sarah D, Kristen and Mollie to Lord Creek Horse Trials! The girls had an awesome day and Sarah D, Kristen and Mollie placed the highest they have all show season! Sarah A. also earned a 70% on her dressage test! It never fails to be a great day when the eventing girls are together!!

8/7-9
Pam took Kate, Kristen, Nicole, Hanna and Hannah to Lendon's Youth Dressage Festival in Saugerties, NY.  Despite lameness of both Sam and Ariva, Kate and Hanna were able to switch around horses and still have a great time.
Congrats to Kristen and Nicole who qualified for the International Children's Dressage competition this coming October.
Also Congrats to Tabor and Eloise who made their big debut in the dressage ring! They blew away the whole leadline class with their cuteness!

Rachael and Mollie headed off to their last event of the season together at Apple Knoll Farm Horse Trials. They both had a great time and Rachael won the Training Level Division. And of course the day wasn't complete until everyone celebrated the girls' success over the season with a donut cake!!

Welcome Charlotte, our German riding student who has come to spend some of the summer with us! We are all very excited to have her here.

Congratulations to Kristen Nowak who placed 4th at the National Seat Championships in Chicago, IL!! What an amazing accomplishment considering she was not even riding her own horse! Kristen borrowed a Fresian named Dona, who she had never ridden before and still managed to place 4th in the 13 and under division! GREAT JOB KRISTEN!!!!

Congratulations to Laura Gammell for making the Region 8 FEI Young Rider Team! She will be competing in Kentucky at the Championships!!

7/15-16
Eric Horgan came back to the farm and gave another great clinic. Riders had the option to do dressage, stadium or cross country. Thanks so much to Dawn Cook for the use of Palmer River Equestrian Center and their beautiful cross country course!!! A great time was had by all.

Congratulations to Mollie and Rachael who competed successfully at one of the biggest events in New England- Groton House Horse Trials! It was Mollie's first event of the season and both girls did well and had fun!

Pam, Kelly, Kristen, Nicole, Hanna, Laura, Kate, Ciara and Tyla attended Westbrook Dressage.  Everyone was successful and had a great weekend.

Eric Horgan came to give his first clinic of the summer. Although he was only here for 2 days, the clinic was packed with people. Lessons ranged from dressage and stadium to cross country at Palmer River on day 2. Like always, everyone had a great time!

Sarah D, Sarah A, Kristen A, Jane and Rachael attended Valinor Farm Horse Trials! Rachael made her debut at Training Level and showed that Eamon truly can jump whatever you put in front of him! Everyone had a very fun time, as true for all horse trials!

Pam and her dressage kids returned to Mystic Valley, this time for their rated dressage show. Everyone did great and had a good time.

Sarah D, Kristen A, Rachael, and Jane all attended the Mystic Valley Hunt Club Horse Trials! All did extremely well, Kristen ended up 8th and Jane 5th, impressive for the class of about 20!

Rachael and Sarah travelled to Red Rock Dressage and both won their classes with great scores!

Pam travelled with Laura and Hanna to NJ for a dressage show. Both Hanna and Laura had great scores and multiple wins. Congrats!

5/16-17
FHF travelled to Centerline Events at Westbrook Hunt Club. All riders did extremely well here as well!

5/9
FHF went to NEDA spring with many riders. Riders included Kate, Kristen, Nicole, Kelly, Laura, Hanna, etc. Everyone did extremely well, congrats!

The second weekend of May, FHF went to Red Rock farm benefit show. Jen C, Julia C, Sophie, Jared and Julia all competed and did awesome! Congrats to all!

The first weekend of May FHF travelled to Apple Knoll Farm for Charles River Dressage! Congratulations to Kelly Hendrick who received a 70% and a 73.9% at her very first show! Also a star was Bella, a 3 and a half year old mare who Pam took out for the very first time! Pam also showed Delamere in 3rd level and received a score of 65%. Allie Nasin and Solo also competed and received scores of 64% and 70%! Congrats to all.

Maybelline is a curly-coated retriever mix who has found her new home at FHF.

January 2009

Pam jumped right into the new year with a trip to Germany with Allie and Lisa to spend a week with Evi Rainsborough, one of FHF's favorite clinicians. Best of luck and hopes for lots of fun on this trip for them!

Congratulations to Pam and Mae West! They won reserve champion in the USDF Half Welsh Training Level year end award! Pam is looking forward to showing Mae and several others this upcoming show season, best of luck!

Congrats to Sarah Asadorian and Hillary Feldman who made the UNH Dressage Team! Hillary is back for her 4th year and is serving as the captain. Hillary and Sarah have both had wins this season and their team is currently first in the region!

The URI home show was once again a success! Everyone rode great and the horses were all so well behaved. URI was high point team and had the high point rider, putting them in first place for the day!
